Privacy — this website
This page is about rehobothbuilds.com itself: the pages you are reading, the forms on them, and the checkout. Each extension ships its own policy, linked at the bottom of this page — those describe the extension, not this site.
The short version
- No cookies, no analytics script, no advertising or tracking pixels, on any page of this site.
- We count that a page was requested: the date and the path. Nothing that identifies you.
- An email address reaches us only if you type it into a form here. Reply to anything you ever get from us and we delete it.
- If you pay, Stripe takes the payment. We never see your card number.
- We do not sell, rent or share any of it.
What is recorded when you read a page
For some of our pages our own server writes one line: the date, the path, and whether the request looked like a browser, a search-engine crawler, or a script. There is no cookie, no IP address and no identifier. The lines cannot be joined to one another, so what we can see is how many times a page was requested on a given day, and nothing else about who did it.
A few pages also send us one extra request of their own once the page has loaded, and
that request is nothing but a path. On a product page it says which of two words applies to your
browser — speech if your browser has a built-in read-aloud engine at all,
nospeech if it does not — and on the tools below it says which of a similarly short
fixed list applies. That is the whole payload: no content, no answer you produced, no identifier,
nothing read out of your browser's storage. We do it because a page request on its own does not tell
us whether a real browser opened the page or a script fetched the file, and we would rather count
the first honestly than flatter ourselves with the second. You can see the whole of it in your
browser's network inspector, and blocking it costs you nothing on the page.
One button does the same thing when you press it: the button that takes you to checkout sends one request of that kind first, saying only that the button was pressed on that page. It carries no name, no email address and nothing you typed. We do it because the checkout itself lives on Stripe's site, so from our side a link that a script followed and a person who actually decided to buy look identical, and we would rather not count the first as the second.
The site is served through a CDN. Like every CDN, and as a necessary part of routing your request, it sees the connection itself — including your IP address — and keeps its own short-term traffic statistics. We read only the daily totals from it. We do not store IP addresses and we do not build a profile of a visitor.
The tools you can use here without installing anything
The voice test, the hreflang tag builder and the Etsy listing translator all run entirely in your browser. The text you paste, the voices your computer has, the tags or translations that come out — none of it is sent to us or to anyone else. The page itself is counted as described above, and on the voice page the fact that the button was pressed is counted the same way: that it was pressed, never what it produced.
Email addresses
An address reaches us only when you type it into a form on this site — the checklist form, or a wait-list form on a product page. We store the address, the date, which form it came from, and, if that form asked one multiple-choice question and you answered it, the answer you picked. Nothing else. It is not shared and not sold, and it does not go onto any list you did not ask to be on. Reply to anything you ever receive from us and we delete the address.
Links that carry a source code
Some links to our own pages carry a short code — /p/tts-reader/from/home, for
instance — so that we can tell which page sent you. It is a code for the page, not for you: it
travels in the address bar, never in a cookie, and anything that is not on a fixed list we wrote
ourselves is discarded. If you go on to pay, that code is attached to the payment, so we know which
page the sale came from.
Paying
Payment happens on Stripe's own checkout pages. We never see and never store your card details. From Stripe we see what it shows any seller: the email address you gave it, the amount and currency, the country the payment came from, and the source code above if there was one. Stripe handles that data under its own privacy policy.
If you order the website translation service
That one is work we do for you, so you will send us the address of your site and whatever a translation job needs — pages, copy, and how you want to be reached. We keep what you send for as long as the job runs and for our own records afterwards, we use it for your job and nothing else, and you can ask us to delete it when the job is done.
