What to include
- Which extension, and the version number (Chrome menu → Extensions → Manage extensions).
- Your browser and operating system.
- What you did, what happened, and what you expected instead.
- If a shortcut is not firing: the exact key combination and the site you were on.
Please do not send screenshots containing anything private — we do not need them, and we would rather not receive them.
What we can and cannot see
We run no analytics on you and no application server, so we cannot look up your account, your settings, or an error report — none of those exist on our side. (For completeness, two things do get counted. First, our own counter records how many times some of our pages were requested: the date, the path, whether the request looked like a browser, a crawler or a script, and the name a well-known crawler or AI assistant announces (Googlebot, ChatGPT-User and the like) — no cookie, no IP address, nothing that identifies a visitor. A few pages also send one short request of their own after they load, carrying nothing but a path; the privacy page lists every one, and you can watch them in your browser's network inspector. Second, this site is served through a CDN, which — like every CDN, and as a necessary part of routing your request — sees the connection itself, including your IP address, and keeps its own short-term traffic statistics. We read only the aggregate counts from it: how many requests and visits each page got on each day. We do not store IP addresses, do not link one page view to another, and do not build any profile of a visitor.) Everything we know about a problem is what you tell us. That is a deliberate trade, and it means a good description does more work here than it does elsewhere.
Bugs and feature requests
Both go to the same address. If a bug affects other people it goes into the next release; if it affects only your setup we will usually be able to say so and suggest a way round it.
Everything we make, and its privacy policy
Everything below is on the Chrome Web Store and the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store, and free. Each has its own policy stating exactly what it stores. The store each one is on is named beside it.
- Custom Keyboard Shortcuts — Chrome Web Store, version 1.2.3, free · privacy policy
- Highlight Reader — Chrome Web Store, version 1.0.3, free · privacy policy
- Listing Translator for Etsy — Microsoft Edge Add-ons store, version 0.1.9, free · privacy policy
If you are writing to us about a bug, the version number above is the current one — the one in your browser may be older.
